COVID-19, You, & Pets

Written by Anna M. van Heeckeren, DVM | Dec 28, 2020 10:31:00 PM

As you know, the world is experiencing an unusual time in history with the COVID-19 pandemic. In response, the professional team at One Health Organization began to think through what any pet parent would want to know about the impact of the virus that causes COVID-19 on the health of their whole family (two-legged and four-legged), as well as what our Veterinary Partners would want to know about the impact of COVID-19 on serving their clients (pet parents) and their patients (pets).

That's when we decided we needed to develop a resource specific to people who live with or work with pets would want to know. The resource developed is a dedicated COVID-19 web page. This page links to the most credible, comprehensive, and regularly updated information provided by trusted experts, as it relates to COVID-19.

We encourage everyone to take the time to look through those links to get the answers you need. Sometimes experts forget to use words that anyone can understand (they can forget what they didn't used to know), so if you ever have any questions about what you read, please feel free to leave a comment and Dr. Anna will do her best to answer your questions.

We believe everyone should have a good understanding of COVID-19 and why it's important for everyone to listen to public health professionals about how to keep yourself safe, and to keep those who are most at risk safe.

If you signed up to receive our newsletters prior to 3/23/2020, you already received at least one notification about this dedicated COVID-19 web page and any significant updates that we believe people who live with or work with pets would want to know.

If you haven't already signed up to receive our newsletters, then please sign up today.

Thank you for doing your part to help keep pets and people healthy at home.
